MUMBAI, April 12 (Xinhua) -- Indian markets closed higher Thursday. The market continued to trade higher amid consolidation as investors await macro data due later in the day and Infosys earnings next day.

The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex closed at 34,101.13, 160.69 point or 0.47 percent up compared to its previous close at 33,940.44.
