NAIROBI, Dec. 23 (Xinhua) -- The following are the news highlights in Kenya's major media outlets on Saturday:

-- Shocking details of how the marking of this year's Form Four exit exams could have been compromised leading to mass failure have emerged.

Markers said some of the marking schemes had errors and that no moderation of the results was done. In addition, some of the assessors said they never had a chance to review the work of markers therefore missed the opportunity to deal with any mistakes that could have occurred.

In the results released Wednesday, over 350,000 pupils scored D and below, meaning they cannot study for any professional courses. Only 70,000 out of the 600,000 qualified for university. (Saturday Nation)

-- Fear of losing billions of shillings in U.S. funding made Kenya pull out of a vote against President Donald Trump's Jerusalem policy at the United Nations. Kenya did not participate in the vote that U.S. lost. (Standard on Saturday)
