MOSCOW, April 28 (Xinhua) -- Six people are believed to be trapped after an avalanche struck a mining site in Russia's Republic of Buryatia, emergency services said Tuesday.

The incident occurred at the Irokinda mine in the Muysky district, where nine workers were clearing a road, according to the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations. ■
