DHAKA, Feb. 22 (Xinhua) -- A four-day BASIS SoftExpo, Bangladesh's biggest showcase for software products, kicked off Thursday at capital Dhaka's Bangabandhu International Conference Center, also known as Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre.
About 200 national and international IT companies are showcasing their products and services in this mega annual exposition of Bangladesh.
Bangladeshi Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith inaugurated the program as the chief guest while Post, Telecommunications and ICT Minister Mustafa Jabbar was present as a special guest.
Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) has been organizing the annual mega event BASIS SOFTEXPO since 2003.
BASIS officials said the 4-day event will be a big congregation of ICT companies, personalities, key policy makers, industry leaders and other ICT stakeholders.
